The People & Culture Assistant supports the daily administration activities of CARE Yemen’s human resources functions. He/She carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: Recruitment, training coordination, benefits, filing, data entry compensation and executive administration.
Position: People and Culture Assistant – Field Office.
Location: Amran.
The Position summary:

Compliance with CARE policy and procedures.

Timely effective documentation and filling.
-
Support Staff wellness through CARE insurance systems and wellness support.
-
Ensure the recruitment process and documents are well managed.
The Main Responsibilities:
People & Culture Assistance:
-
Assist in daily operation of the HR department.
-
Responsible to maintain confidentiality of all staff and HR information and not sharing this information without prior approval from line manager.

Prepare Area staff leave balance and collect fields office's leave balance sheets
-
Assist in filling out staff personnel documents and ensure all files are securely scanned and kept safe.

Receive and follow up on staff-related HR documents (PAR, leave balance & forms, contracts, extensions etc.) and maintain an organized and efficient filing system
Recruitment and Hiring Support:

Screen applications, arrange interviews, participate in the recruitment selection process and administer pre-employment tests as required.

Prepare full orientation package for new staff orientation and make sure that all necessary HR forms are completed.

Assist the Hub People & Culture Officer in coordination of staff training and professional development activities.
Staff Health Insurance Support:

Receive health/life insurance documents from staff, check and ensure they are correct and approved by relevant staff and direct supervisors, and arrange to add new staff to the health insurance system.

Support line manager with all health insurance processes such as getting complete forms, reimbursement review of documents as submission, etc.
HR Systems Support:

Work closely with the line manager on creating and maintaining HR database with all staff information and ensure that these records are protected and confidential.

Ensure HR different systems and databases are up to date.

Prepare staff certificates for different training courses as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
-
Strong administrative and time-management skills.
-
2-year Experience in human resources.
-
Advanced English language written and communication skills.
-
Advanced computer skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure is essential.
-
Demonstrable commitment to gender-sensitive practices.
-
Comply with all relevant CARE policies and procedures with respect to child protection, workplace environment, employee code of conduct and all other related subjects.
